2017 season's review:

After many uncertainties about the "weekend of Champions", race # 6 of the championship, to be held at Drachten at the end of September 2017,
the riders lost trust in the organisation and decided to take it off the Euroserie calendar.

And that ended his year's championship.

Congratulations to the 2017 champion of the Euroserie Supertwin Topgas Joerg Lymant from Germany.

Lymant won the race at Hockenheim and became second at Malmö and Mosten.

Jan Malmberg from Sweden made the second place in the championship this year, and Cord Albers from Germany is the number three.

Jan Malmberg (above) also did a new personal best this year, and Cord Albers (below) won two races!

Cord was assisted by his friend and fellow topgas racer Gerd Caspari at both of them.

Defending (four times) champion Frederik Schack made disappointing place #4 in his fifth season.

Schack won the first race of the season, and the troubles started at Drachten when he broke the chain.

Veteran Herman Jolink attended only three races in topgas this year. Herman is on place #5, thanks to his third place at Mosten.

Herman also made the second place in the Czech Competion bike class race at the beginning of the season, and
set a new personal best at the 60-foot with his Ducati at Malmö in June.

"Rookie of the year 2017" is Joerg Braune, who made place #6 in his first year in the class.

Braune an his team learned many valuable lessons this year.

Sven-Ole Schleichert attended all races this season with his V-rod Destroyer and is on place #7.

Schleichert was at the podium at Hockenheim and also did a new personal best there.

Martin Buehler made a big step forward with his unique dragbike, and is approaching the times set by the former owner and creator of it.

Buehler made place #8 this year.

Janek Severa also made it into the top ten in his first year in topgas.

Janek even managed to stay ahead of Olaf Menzi who is this year's # 10.

The prize giving ceremony and a big celebration party will be held soon, hosted by the new champion. More details later.
