Thirteen supertwin topgas teams from Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Switserland had travelled to Drachten, Holland, for the third race of the season, and some were already waiting for the gate to open, when it got cancelled on friday morning.

The official statement of the DHRA:

The weather from yesterday and last night was realy bad. The camping site cannot handle the water which has fallen. With tears in our eyes we had to decide to cancel the DHRA Drachten Main Event. We have worked with the complete crew the past hours to save the event. We couldn't make this happen.

It happened a few times in the past, and we have a spare race on the calender for these occasions.
So the next race is at Hoskovice in the Czech republic.

The top three of the 2015 championship will be there:

Defending champion Frederick Schack from Denmark:

Runner up and veteran Herman Jolink from Holland:

And Lars "Birch" Andersen from Denmark.

For some racers Drachten 3 and Hoskovice are dates that are too close to each other.
But for Miia-Maria Vepsalainen from Finland it's ideal to combine the trip and do both.
So she's also the entree list.

Janne Malmberg from Sweden will test his bike at Malmö prior to the Czech Drag Day,
and will then decide if he also does Hoskovice and Drachten3 and some sight-seeing in between.
Last time we saw Janne race, he and his bike went great.

So I expect him to show up.
